Teacher
Kaitlyn’s (she/her) passion for dance all began here at Panorama. Exploring genres of Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary. Kaitlyn has been a part of the Panorama School of Dance community for fifteen years as a dancer, student teacher, and teacher. She has completed all her RAD graded and vocational examinations. Kaitlyn has also participated in numerous year-end productions as well as being an active participant in local competitions in solos, duos, and groups.
Kaitlyn participated in the Panorama Youth Company also known as PYC for ten years. During that time she travelled and performed in places like Disneyland, Disneyworld, aboard a Caribbean cruise ship, and New York City. While also travelling throughout the lower mainland with PYC she has been able to share the love of dance in community events, local schools, and senior homes.
Before graduating from Sullivan Heights Secondary Kaitlyn was able to spread her passion and knowledge of dance through her school community through coaching both the school’s competitive Jazz Team and Invitational Team for three years. Kaitlyn’s experience as a coach has allowed her to explore and expand in her choreography, music editing skills, and teaching.
In the fall 2022 Kaitlyn will be continuing her studies, entering her third year, at Simon Fraser University in the Fine Arts Dance program majoring in Dance and minoring in Gerontology. Kaitlyn is continuing to explore and find curiosity in her own movement practice as well as her choreographic work as she moves through SFU’s dance program. In addition to her BFA Kaitlyn is also working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Kinesiology.
Kaitlyn’s passion for functional movement practices and eagerness to share this experience with the community has lead her into the field of personal training. By the spring of 2023 Kaitlyn hopes to be a fully certified trainer.
