NOVEMBER NEWS 2009

Hope everyone has settled into a comfortable routine, now that the dance year is well underway at Panorama School of Dance. Our Panorama Youth Company had a very successful turnout for their first ever Halloween Party. Thank you to all who came out to support them in their FUNdraising efforts. A job well done by Miss Carly, Miss Stacey and, of course, the kids!! Christmas will quickly be coming around the corner, so thought we'd make you aware of some events happening around here in the next few weeks. Here we go:
FESTIVAL
We've had quite a few students sign up for Competition dances this year, which is wonderful to see. Teachers have started their private lesson, so students, PLEASE be aware of your schedules and be on time. Reminder that all Competition fees are due by December 15th. Student Competitions are posted in the waiting rooms of the studios. Exact days and times are usually sent 2-3 weeks before the start of each competition. Our Dance Extravaganza will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Surrey Arts Centre.
PURDY'S CHOCOLATES
We are going to be doing a Christmas fundraiser with Purdy's Chocolates, so be on the lookout for your brochures and order forms, which will be sent home within the next week. All orders will be delivered by December 14th, so this is an easy way to do some Christmas shopping, while helping out with our Scholarship Fund.
PARENT VIEWING
It's that time of year that every parent is waiting for - VIEWING WEEK! This will be held from Monday, December 14th to Saturday, December 19th. Come and see what your children have been learning in class. The students love to show mom and dad how well they're doing! Mark these dates on your calendar, and we hope to see you there.
EXAMS
We will soon be mailing out invoices for those ballet students that have been recommended for Presentations or Exams this year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the office or your child's teacher. The exact dates for Exams will not be known until sometime in the New Year.
FLU SEASON
We all know that flu season is upon us. Please encourage your children to wash their hand frequently, cough into their elbows and keep them at home if they are feeling poorly. We want to keep everyone as healthy as possible.
CHRISTMAS BREAK
The last day of classes before Christmas will be on Saturday, December 19, 2009. Classes will resume on Monday, January 4, 2010.
