VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are still needed to help at the shows in various positions:
Saturday, May 30th
Ridge Matinee show – Saturday @ 1:00pm
Dressing room supervisors: 2 – 3 more needed *Arrive to help at 12:15, stay until end of show
Ticket sales / pick up at the door: 2 needed *Arrive to help at 12:15, stay until show begins
Fleetwood show - Saturday @ 6:00pm
Dressing room helpers: 8 needed! *Arrive to help at 5:15, stay until end of show
Flower sales: 1 needed * Sell flowers before show, during intermission, and after the show

Fleetwood Studio: Tuesday and Wednesday (May 19th&20th) at the Fleetwood studio
Ridge Studio: Thursday and Friday (May 21st&22nd) at the Ridge studio
Regular dance attire is to be worn.
Parents do not have to stay during the tech rehearsal.
Classes have been given a scheduled time to be there – please check the tech rehearsal schedule on our “Recitals & Production” page if you are still uncertain of your child’s time.

Ridge Studio: Tuesday, May 26th at the Bell Centre for the Performing Arts
Full costume is to be worn and hair and make – up is to be done.
Classes have been given a scheduled time to be there – please check the dress rehearsal schedule on our “Recitals & Production” page if you are still uncertain of your child’s time.
Dress rehearsal night is tightly scheduled. It is so important that we keep to the schedule. Please make sure your child is there 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time so that they can be backstage and ready to dance at the appropriate time.

Parking
Parking at the theatre can sometimes get quite full. There is an additional parking lot for the school / theatre that is located behind the school on 146th St. Please consider using this parking lot as an alternative to help ease the congestion in the main lot. It is a very short walk to the lobby area.
Couple of things to note:
Parents are not responsible for changing their child’s costume during the show. We have parent volunteers who will assist with this so that you can sit and enjoy your child’s recital without having to run backstage to get them ready for their next dance.
Parents are not allowed into the dressing room area once the show has begun. This is for the security of your children. Once they have been checked in by one of our parent volunteers, they will remain in the dressing room area for the duration of the show. They will not be able to leave during intermission, nor will we have parents wandering into the dressing room area at this time. We hope that you will understand that this is for the safety and security of your children and that you will respect our policy.
Please ensure that any items your child brings to the show has their name clearly written on them – shoes, jacket, water bottle, back packs, make-up bag, costume pieces. This will ensure that anything that happens to get left behind will get returned to them.
PICNIC
End of the Year Picnic date has been changed to Friday, June 5th 4:30 – 6:30 at Fleetwood Park (80th Ave between 156th and 160th). Pack your picnic dinner and join your PSOD friends for an evening of fun and games!
STUDENT TEACHER COURSE: $48.00
Student teacher course will be held on 3 consecutive Mondays
June 8, June 15, June 22nd from 4:30 – 6:00 (Ridge or Fleetwood location TBA)
This course is mandatory for all our student teachers ~ those who are wishing to begin student teaching and those who would like to continue assisting next year.
JUNE CLASSES
June classes will begin on Tuesday June 2 and continue through to Thursday, June 25th.
June classes are a great time to try a new dance style or to keep up your technique prior to summer break.

Join Miss Lisa this summer for a week of ballet, jazz, story time, crafts and of course lots of fun!
This camp for children aged 3 – 6 will run Monday – Friday, July 13 – 17 from 9:30 – 12:30 at our Ridge Studio location.
SUMMER SCHOOL
Watch for details regarding our summer school in August – just in time to help get you back in shape for the coming dance year!

Panorama Youth Company 2009 /2010
Exciting news ~ Next year at PYC we are adding a Junior level, for committed dancers ages 8 – 10. This group of young & enthusiastic students will join our performance troupe in the coming dance year. The Junior class will be on Fridays from 4:30 – 6:30 at the Ridge studio. The students will have to be enrolled in ballet and jazz in addition to the PYC class, which is strictly a choreography class. For further information about PYC please contact the office.
